Obituary — Randy Banks (cont.)
• Then, in late August, still unable to let it go, Banks finally persuaded the pushovers on the Board to "do something". He had Muggee send Strand a letter ominously warning about escalating the situation, even though it was Banks himself who had ridiculously escalated the situation in the first place by "calling the cops"... in response to merely "the finger" 🖕... way back in June. He had Muggee send it via certified mail, even charging Strand's HOA bill for the pleasure of doing so.
(Once again, Banks was building a case. A case against Mr. Strand.)
• Outraged at seeing Bank's hand once again at work, Strand emailed the Board, demanding for Banks' resignation. Banks then falsely accused Strand of threatening his neighbor's pets and making "threats of physical violence against women". The patronizing letter and the false accusations successfully provoked Strand into making an ugly scene at the next Board meeting.
(After all, it is the HOA, not the HR department. To whom do I complain when I have a problem with a resident who happens to be a Board member? Did Randy receive a "certified warning letter" for intimidating us with the cops? Or for abusing the security cameras?)
In any case, I apologized for my "Leifisode" (Tom's wonderful term) days later at the Thursday Social, right to the face of Dr. Evans. I vowed to never attend an HOA meeting again. (After all, what's the point if a random tenant can get away with bulldozing something that had been there for over a decade? Unlike Warfel's exercise cycle, the "lending library" was actually mentioned in the Rules and Regs.)
